Preserve and Protect our Coastal Heritage, Wildlife, and Wetlands.

That is Save the Beaches mission statement.

Since 1983, Save the Beaches has been involved in a variety of activities and projects including beach grass and local flora plantings, the construction of local fauna platforms (osprey nesting platforms, bat houses, swallow nesting boxes), coastal clean-ups, and education programs and lectures.

Celebrate World Clean-up Day

Join Save the Beaches on Saturday, September 21, 2013
for a beach clean-up at Gilgo Beach Parking Lot at 10:00AM to celebrate International Coastal Clean-up Day.

Meet representatives from the New York Rising Program to discuss community reconstruction issues.  Bagels, Donuts, Coffee, and trash bags will be provided by Save the Beaches.

Come on out and help make a difference.
